Johntay Potter was a fandual VIP, but he didn’t bet on basketball there

A source told SportsHandle that Porter had placed more than 1,000 bets between 2021 and 2023 and was a FanDuel VIP customer. The source also said FanDuel had 10 to 20 professional players among VIP ratings and had never placed bets on his sport.

Potter has reportedly bet millions of dollars while holding a FanDuel VIP account. ESPN reported the story of an NBA investigation into suspicious proposal bets related to Potter on March 25, and he did not play for the Raptors for the rest of the season.

Last week, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver called a player betting on him or his sport a “crime of the heart” and said he would be banned from the league if Potter did. The NBA’s gambling policy prohibits players from betting on the league or any property, including the G-League or the WNBA.
