Flutter hosted the first Charity Bowl in Dublin last week and met its goals, raising €270,000 – equivalent to the cost of two ambulances – for Irish children’s ambulance service BUMBLEANCE. The funds raised will support the charity’s growth strategy and included €125,000 in Flutter’s donation, as announced by Flutter UKI CEO Ian Brown. 안전놀이터 추천
Bumbleance, the first kind service, is a non-profit organization that provides Ireland’s youngest patients with safe and comfortable medical transport between home and hospital. Designed to ease families’ financial woes, ambulances are equipped with TVs, PlayStation, iPad Air, music, DVDs, books, and more to reduce children’s stress during the tough journey.
Guests who attended the event at Dublin Mansion House’s The Round Room heard parents’ heartfelt stories about the differences the charity made, as well as details of how they wanted to make the current 2,000-plus trips, which are now made up of 14 ambulances.
Hosted directly by Irish stand-up comedians Deidre O’Kane and Padraig Power, the event was a smash hit, including a raffle and silent auction with more than 400 attendees, fundraising through magicians, and a Dodder Dash race between nine mascots. Attendees also heard speeches from the team and Pádraig Oó Riorddain, the group’s commercial director, at the BUMBleance, Ian Brown and Flutter CLO.
Prizes included Ireland v France Scottish Rugby World Cup tickets, Max Verstappen signed jerseys, Ronaldo and Rivaldo signed jerseys, and Neymar Jr signed soccer boots.
Charity Ball is part of Flutter’s larger global pledge to do more for the community as part of its global sustainability strategy, the Positive Impact Plan. The goal of doing more is to improve the lives of 10 million people by 2030, made possible by Flutter’s scale and the collective enthusiasm of his colleagues. Flutter’s next Charity Bowl will be held on November 22 in Leeds.
