Bellagio Hotel-Casino partially reopened three days after its luxury resort was closed, with guests and gamblers inconvenienced by severe power outages and restaurants closed and performances canceled.

Inside the Arched Shopping Atrium at the Las Vegas Strip resort, Teresa Jankowiak learned that once her electricity was restored, she wouldn’t have to cash in $465 worth of tickets she had for the Cirque du Soleil show “O” that night

Authorities did not say what caused the power outage at 2 a.m. on Easter Sunday, but hotel and Nevada power officials said the outage was an internal problem.

Authorities found no evidence of vandalism, and no injuries or thefts were reported.

While the overall financial effect of the outage has not been calculated, Feldman said the loss is likely to be more than $1 million a day. He said the building has insurance against business outages.

State gambling officials oversaw the reopening of casinos.
