Macao Concert Hall to Open in Early 2025

Macao’s minister of social and cultural affairs, Elsia Aoyon, said she expected the Macao government to be able to conduct a trial run “later this year” for planning the city’s outdoor venues for large-scale concerts. She added in comments to local media on Tuesday that the first show could be held “in January or February of next year” in the new space.

The government announced on Monday it would build a 94,000 sq m (1.01 million sq ft) temporary site in Kotai, right next to SJM Holdings’ Grand Lisboa Palace casino resort.

“The construction of this [open-air] venue will create favorable conditions for hosting large-scale outdoor performances in Macau to attract international-level performances,” the Culture Bureau said in a press release.

Several public services are currently working on site preparations and will be open bidding before construction begins. 메이저놀이터

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a public event on Tuesday, Aoying said authorities aimed to hold trials later this year to test traffic clearance, crowd control measures, traffic coordination and security procedures.

The government said the venue will have both “basic facilities and supplementary equipment to receive large-scale performances.”

Mr. Aoyon explained that any promoter performing in a purpose-built venue should be “responsible for stage settings and other specific requirements for each performance,” as stage settings may vary depending on the re quirements of each performance.
