The Casino de Montreal hosted the world’s largest multi-table poker tournament, operated with an automated poker table. Surprisingly, the entire tournament was operated with only four employees.
This first unlimited Texas Holdum Poker Tournament was held in a beautiful new 100% Poker Pro Poker Room in Casino de Montreal, which just opened on Jan. 18, 2008. The $225 buyout tournament sold out two weeks ago, and a record 240 players competed for the prize.
Mohammed Nadim, an engineering student, became a house champion after he knocked down 239 players and left with a $20,000 CAD. Second place went to Pierre Linfret, a Quebec sports television and radio host. The top 20 finalists took home the cash. 사설 토토사이트
” We’re happy with the success of the tournament, and we pride ourselves on our partnership with Casino de Montreal,” says Chris Halligan, CEO of poker pro table manufacturer PokerTek. “Quebecoa players have embraced automated poker, as evidenced by their reaction to the tournament.”
Tuesday’s tournament in Montreal was broken by the property for the second time, with the first being the world’s largest automatic poker table installation with 25. The Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia, and the Four Winds Casino Resort in New Buffalo, Michigan have both run poker-professionals with 100 players. Currently, the 100% Poker Pro room in Casino de Montreal offers cash games, daily sit-down tournaments, and weekly and monthly multi-table tournaments.
