The new location of the Hollywood casino in Greystown is less than a mile from the draft site and will host various ESPN programs through this week, according to a press release.
ESPN Bet launched its first digital platform in November 2023 after Penn Entertainment cut ties with former partner Barstool Sportsbook. The new platform is in 18 U.S. states. When Penn launched ESPN Bet, it did not reveal how or when it would rebrand its retail sportsbook.
“This is an exciting week to debut Penn’s first physical ESPN Bet sportsbook as the city of Detroit hosts the NFL Draft and its festivities,” said John Drake, general manager of the Hollywood casino in Grixtown, in a news release. “Bringing ESPN Bet to Grixtown, Hollywood, combines Penn’s premier sports media and sports betting offerings to create an amazing atmosphere for fans to watch and bet on sports.”
The new ESPN Bet retail sportsbook is located upstairs in a 100,000-square-foot site at a Hollywood casino. The 4,500-square-foot venue features a 30-foot video wall, a large screen TV, a state-of-the-art betting kiosk and dining area. 온라인카지노사이트
The draft will begin Thursday (April 25) at 8 p.m. ET when the Chicago Bears make their first pick at Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza. The Detroit Lions, where they are based, have the No. 29 pick. The draft runs through Saturday. The first round will conclude on Thursday and the second and third rounds will begin Friday at 4 p.m. EDT. Rounds 4-7 run from noon Saturday.
ESPN will launch podcasts, radio and ESPN 2 broadcasts in its new sportsbook, according to a press release, and “ESPN talent will also host a sports center live hit in their accommodation during the week.”
Penn operates more than 20 Hollywood-branded casinos from Maine to Missouri. On the digital side, the company aims to launch in New York, the largest legal betting state in the U.S., later this year. ESPN Bet is applying for an empty WynnBET license in the Empire State.
