Emperor Ent up 171pc to record annual revenue of $8 mln

Macao’s satellite casino promoter Emperor Entertainment Hotel reported a net profit of HK$62.8 million (US$8 million) for the 12 months ended March 31, 2024. This compares with a HK$128 million loss in the previous fiscal year, it said in a filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Monday.

Revenue for the reporting period rose 171.1% year-on-year to HK$789.3 million. Czar Entertainment’s board recommends a final dividend of HK$0.015 per share. If approved, the dividend will be paid on Sept. 19.

The company operates the 311-room Grand Amperor Hotel (pictured) in downtown Macau, which includes just a casino. The gaming venue is being promoted under a license from casino concession company SJM Holdings. 무료슬롯사이트

Amperor Entertainment operates a second hotel in Macau called Inn Hotel, which does not have a gaming facility. The group also operates a hotel and a service apartment business in Hong Kong.

Emperor Entertainment’s adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) were HK$175 million in the 12 months to March 31, compared with negative figures of HK$190.8 million a year earlier.

Gaming sales rose 423.3% year-on-year to HK$459.2 million. Hotel sales, including Hong Kong operations, were up 82.2% from a year ago to HK$171.4 million during the period.

Outside the reporting period, in May, Empower Entertainment said one of its overseas units would take over a 25-story building in Hong Kong’s Central region from a connected company, paying a total of HK$655.2 million.
